On our last day in Santiago we bumped into some locals who recommended that we go to Casa Manolo for dinner. We are so glad we listened to them. As it was a pilgrim's menu we were expecting pasta for first plate, egg and chips for second and a small yoghurt for dessert! In reality the options were much more varied and the quality was excellent. The quantity was excessive for someone who had not walked far that day, but we enjoyed what we could manage to eat.
I would highly recommend you planning at least one meal there! You can book - and it is advisable.
It's not difficult to find....if you are on the pilgrim route you will come to Plaza de Cervantes before you get to the cathedral. It's tucked in the corner of that square - look for the white and black sign outside. http://www.casamanolo.es
Of course you need to make sure you have the Santiago Tart for dessert!
