Rupert,

Check out this Forum thread with various options on how to get to Sarria. It seems that one way to go is by bus from Santiago to Lugo and then another bus to Sarria. >> traveling-to-from-the-camino/topic6288.html.

Good luck and Buen Camino,

Hi Rupert...we did this just a few weeks ago....there is 1 direct bus at 6pm each day from Santiago bus station to Sarria - takes 2.5 hours. However, the option we took was to take a bus to Lugo and then change for a bus to Sarria....journey time was in around the same (1.5hours Santiago to Lugo, 0.5hours wait and 0.5hours Lugo to Sarria) and there were several buses to Lugo.

Use this website for Santiago to Sarria (direct) and Lugo to Sarria.

Use this for Santiago to Lugo:

If you are going directly to Sarria from Santiago airport I believe this is possible but we went from the city centre itself.

Enjoy!
