hi
I am heading out for my second Camino and was wondering if anyone had thoughts or advice for doing it twice. I have considered the Norte but am on a pretty tight budget, and understand that accomodation is a bit more fluid ie sometimes hostel, alb, or pensions.

Hi Wine and Faith!

I did it twice and both times were wonderful if very different.
No advice just random thoughts:
It won't be the same! You're different, the people you meet will be different etc etc

I've actually just decided to walk it for the third time (instead of doing the Norte).
I'm going without expectations, just planning to take it as it comes , whatever the journey brings. :)

When are you leaving?

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
How much time do you have for your second Camino?

If you have 40 days then Camino via de la Plata is good for the budget. A shorter 12 days Camino Primitivo is also good and many albergue are not manned (donativo). Camino del Norte is exactly like what you say especially around the Basque region. However if you start from Santander it would be okay.

The Norte is a lovely walk and does not have to be expensive, in my experience. I walked in August/September and stayed in albergues almost every night, also in the Basque region. There are less albergues as compared to the CF, but still enough to stay in an albergue (almost) every night. However, you may want to check the gronze or eroski site, to see whether all albergues are open in April as well. Or check this excellent resource on the forum:

Hello, do you have the accommodation list for the Via de Plata, I'm going to Sevilla tomorrow and I can't seem to download the PDF. Thanks, Andy

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
