Sello in Zaragoza

Time of past OR future Camino
Annually - often more - from 2014
I’ve been there recently, but not ‘on Camino’; I am however returning in a few weeks to start walking straight away generally towards Santiago. Train from Barcelona then setting off on foot same day.

I vaguely recall comments that there is only one place with a sello but cannot remember where it is and don’t want to go all round town if I can help it.

The Cathedral would be my first thought.

Wish I knew more but roving rufus is sharper! 😁

You'll get it from the basilica. There were lots of officials around, but I had to hunt down a priest, which wasn't easy among the throngs of tourists. He disappeared into the sacristy for ten minutes with my credencial looking for the sello. I was most grateful. It's a beautiful place, a nice sello too.

My first steps in Spain were in Zaragoza, long before Adam was a boy. I lived for two months in a barrio on the outskirts, but did go in a couple of times and you are so right, those who recognise what a wonderful place it is.
That was actually where I made my first halting steps into mauling the wonderful Spanish language!

My good friend lives there. We continue to butcher each others languages and we misunderstand each other equally, but in spite of that, we seem to agree on most things. He has a strong faith and is immensely proud of having been baptised through some unusual family circumstances, in one of the smaller chapels within the basilica.

Basilica, Cathedral, Tourism office, and any number of business stamps from hotels and restaurants (mine came from a Doner Kebab shop). While some may be prettier than others, all count as proof of your presence in that city.

Thanks all - I’m sorted.

I vaguely (and not for the first time, incorrectly) recalled a post which suggested that sellos were thin on the ground in Zaragoza, apparently not.

Fancy sellos are, but generic ones are common

Mine was from the Basilica of Our Ladly of Pilar, but I got a second one from the parish church of San Gil Abad. The Turismo or the Ayuntamiento are also good places.
