sending a suitcase from SJPP to Santiago

I've posted this question elsewhere but seem to have lost it in cyberspace. Forgive me if you've seen this. I would like to ship/post a small suitcase to Ivar in Santiago. Does anyone know if this can be done by bus? by post? Ivar wrote awhile back that post is pretty expensive. Does anyone have any idea about postal rates for a suitcase?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I mailed a small box - about 10"x15"x4" - that weighed 3-4 pounds and was shocked at the cost. As I recall it was about 20 euro. The problem is that it is an international shipment and therefore much more expensive than domestic.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
thank you jeff & ivar. guess I might re-think this. (a box sent from Canada may be just as expensive & easier to deal with). No thoughts on sending a suitcase to Ivar by bus from SJPP?

I have not heard of this option, if there are bus changes, I am not sure that there are anyone that will pick up the bag and take it to the next bus. As far as I know bus companies in Spain does not do this. (Correct me if I am wrong, anyone).

Saludos,
Ivar

Hi heather, Just a thought - Have you thought of the option of taking the things you want to post with you to Spain, and posting them to Ivar from there, rather than from home? Cheers, Janet

jl: I think she wants to avoid taking the suitcase to Spain because that would mean carrying it there from SJPdP.

Absolutely Jeff! I would like to ship my (very small) suitcase from SJPP because that's my destination point from Canada. We have a few post-Camino items in the suitcase & want to pack our backpack airporter-duffle bags when we arrive in SJPP - then ship the suitcase off to Ivar. Don't want to lug it over the Pyrennes.

The only alternative I guess is to ship a box to Ivar from Canada & carry our duffle bags on the Camino. Or pay an obscene amt. of money to post a suitcase. Correct?
