When shipping items to Santiago where are they stored, how quickly do they need to be retrieved?
 
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
It really depends where you send them to. The Postoffice keeps them for max 15 days, the better option might be Casa Ivar (same guy that runs this forum ;-) see http://www.casaivar.com He will keep it until you arrive. Buen Camino, SY

I shipped things from Viana to Santiago to be held in the post office. We ran into some problems that really slowed us down and I went to the post office in Ponferrada and managed to get our stuff held longer. It required speaking Spanish though.

That would have been better but I didn't know about the service last year.
 
I sent excess bits and pieces from Portomarin and Melide to Ivar: what a great service he provides! Reasonable postage rates, too, and helpful P.O. staff. Just be aware that Ivar's office closes for the siesta: check his hours via this site first...
