Time of past OR future Camino
October 2014
Hi, I'm thinking seriously of doing the Camino Frances in October of 2014, but I have a lot of luggage, namely my precious and fragile musical gear. Does anyone know a secure way to send stuff to Santiago and possibly store it there? I'd rather not just mail it because it's big and fragile. Thanks!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Thank you! I read that, but I am looking for a way that is not through the mail, if it exists.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
mspath got it right concerning the two companies, they have informative posters, price lists, business cards, and reusable envelopes for attaching to whatever you wish to send in almost every albergue, hotel, pension, and in many bars along the Camino - simple and worry free they have been doing this for a long time. Their literature clearly states that utilizing their services does not in any way guarantee a reservation in whatever place your belongings are sent, your baggage will be waiting for you to collect but does not include a promise of a bed further some strict alberques do not accept from the companies but their drivers know who is who and which is which, you can trust them..

As a reward I stayed at the Hotel Bonaval in Santiago and made reservations for the last three days. They gladly stored it for me. I arranged to have it picked up by Jacotrans and taken there.
