Sending my bag ahead

Hello,

My name is Yaron and I'm planning to walk in the upcoming September 10 days from San Sebastian, through Bilbao to Santander. I would like to send my backpack (mochila) from San Sebastian to Bilbao and then after having 1-day rest at Bilbao send it again from Bilbao to Santander.
My question is how can I send my bag without know in advance where am I going to stay in these cities? I don't want to book a place in advance since I want to have the flexibility to decide about this during the trip.

You can send it to the post office and have it held there until you pick it up.

But be careful as you would need to go to the post office during business hours which may not include Saturday, Sunday or local holidays. I did this in 2001 and had to hang around Santiago until they opened. Also you may want to bring packing supplies, I wrapped some tape around a pencil I discarded and brought a shipping label. I shipped a duffle bag and wanted it wrapped up in something else.

I have sent a bag to SDC too and it has gone to Rua Franco 4. According to website the office is open 0900-1300 Saturday but closed Sunday.
