setting off soon!

Wow! This summer has flown past. We are flying out to Porto on Friday, Aug 6, picking up our credenciales and checking out Porto on August 7 and then heading out on August 8. We are hoping that if we leave early on a Sunday morning the traffic on the first part will be not as bad as normal. Thanks to everyone who has answered my questions about this route. I've never been to Portugual before, so I am really looking forward to this Camino.

Buen Camino!

I had lunch with Javier Martin (he is a forum member) about a week ago, he had walked with his daughter from Tui (I think)... they had a great time. One day they even had an entire albergue to themselves! ...definitely not as crowded as the Camino Frances.

Enjoy!

Be sure to try the sardinhas from the lady grilling them along the river in Porto!

And once you're satisfied, hop across the river and sample their famous wine in one of the world known ''caves''.

By the way, skipping out of town on a Sunday is a great idea, although it's not as difficult as some tend to think.

Have a good one!
