I posted a topic named "Thoughts on photography and camera selection for the Camino" back in September, and had been messaged by a few forum members about using an iPhone to take pictures. I mentioned to a few that I had taken quite a bit of video as well. It's not the greatest video quality, but definitely a serviceable option to take in the great scenery and tell a story. Here is the final product:

Buen Camino to all and a happy new year!!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Just great. Love it.

If you're getting a black screen I would guess that you need to update your Adobe Flash Player. Most mobile devices are not flash enabled so that could be an issue if that's what you are using. I hope this helps.

I don't know about other people's experience, but on my computer the video remains blank (actually black). :(

Thank you for the kind words, nyken!

In the cold afternoon of a rainy O Cebreiro, a family group dropped into a restaurant and performed Galician music for over an hour. There were three bagpipes, two drums, two tambourines, and some kids. My main impression was that the music was much more tuneful than the droning bagpipe at the Cathedral. A sample from my iPhone:

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
falcon269,

What a great experience that must have been. Thank you for sharing those videos! I had dinner at that same restaurant when in O Cebreiro, such a wonderful little town.

It definitely made my top ten Camino moments! The children were cute beyond description. The teenage bagpiper was more enthusiastic than any lad I have ever seen who had been dragged along by his folks!!

The video starts of perfect with that beautiful song :). I am now 7 seconds into the video, and will watch more after I click "submit".

Lovely documentary! You shot some amazing footage, and it has a pretty professional feel to it. Also, your taste in music is amazing and kind of similar to mine, so that's nice.
If I had one word of advice, it would be this: at some times, when you lowered the level of music as you started talking, the switch between levels felt uncomfortable. It makes sense to lower the music because otherwise you'd be hard to understand, but it'd be better, in my opinion, to fade instead of suddenly shift the level sound.

Anyways, I'll finish watching it tomorrow.

PS Love how many places of the world you've already seen! I'm kind of jealous, but I'll get there... in time. :)

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I also happened onto a music festival with a band named Galixa Cajun. It played New Orleans jazz with a Spanish/Galician flair. I didn't think to get a video, though.
