Camino Frances
Is anyone aware of venues that offer silent retreats in Santiago (post Camino) or along the route? I'm interested in 4-6 days of staying in a spiritual center (monastery?) and perhaps spiritual direction if offered. I'll be doing the Camino in October-early November 2019.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Monastery in Rabanal del Camino - min 2 night stay. All meals with monks, including silent lunch. But no rule regarding silence outside of that. Father Xavier is an absolute delight, here. There are many beautiful services you can attend throughout each day, including vespers and complines.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Also for men you have the monastery of Samos in the Camino Frances ( a little past O Cebreiro). There is an albergue and some rooms for people that want to stay there a few days. Also in the monastery of Sobrado Dos Monxes in the Camino del Norte. Same thing ... albergue plus some rooms for people that want to stay longer.

Yes, the retreat house is beautiful, and the priests were caring, congenial and very funny. True Benedictine hospitality. One of the priests is available each evening in the village church for confession or just to talk.

For some reason I thought only men were allowed there.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Does anyone have a contact email or phone number for the monastery in Rabenal please? I would love to do a silent retreat there.

They don't take any reservations and, in my case, didn't return my call (although when I arrived they said, oh, you called yesterday😊). They expect you to simply show up at the door with your pack and they'll take it from there. They have a very good website, Google Benedictine monastery Rabanal and it'll come up. All the best to you.

if that doesnt work try The Stone Boat, a little guesthouse in Rabanal. Kim is very spiritually tuned-in, can accomodate your needs. You could attend the monastic worship at the church up the street as you wished. And you would have a cat to cuddle.
