Hi,
I'm off this April and I guess I'm ready to go except iPhone.
I have searched how to unlock the iPhone and hope I can resolve the issue tonight.

Then, I realize that I need a SIM card....
I heard there is a SIM card that you can use in any european country and international SIM covering 170 countires.

I don't know which way will be efficient economically , buying SIM card working only in Spain or one covering other european countries or internationl one.

Also, where can I buy SIM card in Spain or France?

Any information will be appreciated.

Buen Camino~

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I use the Lebara card from simsforspain.com.
My research still shows that the Lebara card is the best deal I can find. It costs $29. USD and you get 10 euro credit. The rates are much cheaper than the others I can find.

What country are you from? Will you be calling back home?
The simsforspain.com site has the rates for both text messages (sms) and telephone calls.

The big problem you will face will be getting your iPhone unlocked if you are with AT&T in the U.S.

Thank you for the tips, Grayland.
I'm in Canada at the moment and iPhone is off contract from Rogers that I need to unlock...
I don't feel like to bring any electronics for pilgrimage but family and friends force me to bring one..at least a phone for emergency -.-

I'll check the website you mentioned if I can get one from Canada...

Many thanks,
Hyun

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Remember that the SIMs for the newer iphones are smaller than the "normal" SIMs.

If you get a sim in Spain, tell them (or show them your iphone) and they will cut it for you. Most mobile phone shops (not all) have a small cutter that they put the larger sims in and cut it so that it fits in a newer iphone.

In Spain you can get these sims "everywhere".... larger supermarkets have them as well.

Buen Camino!

If you have your service on your iPhone with AT&T, they just implemented a policy whereby they will unlock your phone if your 2 year contract has expired. Don't know what the policy is for other service providers.
