In the thread Easter Vigil denied I posted that we had suggested singing 'Thine be the Glory' at 10.00am (local time) on Easter Sunday morning.
Since then we have had an email with this same suggestion sent out by the Churches Together (UK).
They are asking for it to be spread around the world so that we all sing at 10.00am in our own time zone.
We will be standing in our 'safe place' and doing just that.

The notification is here at Sing Resurrection - the words can be found on 'traditiional music' and for those unfamiliar with the tune it is 'Maccabeus' and there is a good recording here on youtube.
A search should be able to find at least Spanish and French words too.

May we all have a blessed Easter where-ever we are.

What a great idea - singing some of ones favourite hymns as you prepare Easter Sunday Lunch!! I will now have to hunt out a fee CDs or tapes from my days singing in a church choir. Cheers

Yes, we will be standing on our doorstep (like on Thursday night 'clap for the carers' in the UK and elsewhere) and are fortunate to have several folk nearby who are joining in too so we will start with the Easter response 'Alleluia, Christ is risen; He is risen indeed, Alleluia!' - then sing - then call out the response again before we go back indoors.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Terry has prepared a paper banner to put in our window with the Easter response. Our churches might be closed and meeting impossible but we can, and will, still celebrate this Easter. For some of you that is nearly here, but it is 15.15 on Saturday here in the UK.
A blessed Easter to you all from both of us.

[Edit:- I have 'tweaked' the thread title to reflect the name of the Churches Together initiative post#1.]
