Six days from SJPP?

Planning a week starting in St Jean Pied de Port (2017)
I leave for Biarritz on Saturday and plan to begin walking from SJPP on Sunday. How far could I reasonably get in six days? I have not yet booked flights but am thinking to return back to Biarritz. The return flight is around 9 AM the following Saturday so I would have to bus it back there on the Friday after finishing my walk in hopefully the early afternoon.

I'm expecting to reach Los Arcos but would it be too much of a push to make Logrono? I'm fit, active and a fairly experienced hill walker.

Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi and welcome to the forum @Jesscat

Have a look here: https://www.gronze.com/camino-frances ans use Google Translate if necessary, this site gives you a good overview about distances and height profiles. I personally think that stopping in Estella would be the wiser options as it tends to have better connections than Los Arcos. Buen Camino, SY

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Regular finish places for standardd walkers will be Estella or Los Arcos. Look for bus schedules to Irún at La Estellesa webpage.
Buses to Irún, as I remember, cross the border and make a final stop not far from the Hendaye train station.
From Logroño there is also the bus option (loong) or a bus to Miranda de Ebro, then the train to Irún and Biarritz.
I suggest that you don't let the availability of buses or trains define your walk. Keep your options open.
Buen camino! These are very nice and interesting stages.

I have just returned from a 6-day walk fron SJPP Stages were:

Burguete (much nicer and less crowded than Roncesvalles.)
Larrasoaña
Pamplona
Puente la Reina
Estella
Los Arcos. (Nice place to finish.)

I returned by bus from Los Arcos to Pamplona, bus to SJPP, train to Bayonne, bus to Biarritz. It's also possible (and cheaper and quicker) to bus from Pamplona to Biarritz airport via San Sebastian. Look at the ALSA website: https://www.alsa.es/en/

Have a great time - I did!

Thanks very much for all the advice. I ended up walking only 5 days, due to some foot and ankle issues. Ended yesterday in Estella and this morning took a bus to Pamplona then on to Biarritz. It was a great walk and I'm not disappointed to finish early as I plan to return and walk the entire Camino, restarting in SJPP.
