Hi, guys.....
The news is good today. I had a consultation visit and evaluation by my surgeon of my inguinal hernia, and he saw no reason to discourage my pilgrimage on 9/15. He did give me specific guidance to monitor the hernia, and he wants to schedule surgery after I return. With all the information from the ultrasound, exam, and background about what the pilgrimage entails, he was ok with my going.
So.. my backpack is all ready to go, and I'm excited that the departure is soon (leaving on 9/13). My son, Caleb, who will accompany me for the first ten days out of St Jean, seems even more excited than I am
Whew!!!! Keep me in your prayers and thoughts, friends. You've all been a blessing.
