Just wondering is this route open at the moment as snow was mentioned in one of the blogs. Any up to date news on same. May have to cancel booking as I have booked into Orrison on 1st May. Will I still be passing that way and if not what route can I take and where can one stay. :?:

If the route Napoleon is blocked you can walk the Valcarlos route to Roncevalles. This is the route which the Gendarmes always advise in winter and bad weather. If you wish you can stay mid route at Valcarlos where there is a very pleasant municipal albergue. Here is a link for more albergue information.http://caminodesantiago.consumer.es./albergue-de-luzaide-valcarlos

Buen Camino!
