I would like to know the opening time of the pilgrim office and the municipal albergue in SJPP. Thanks.
One other general question: in the albergues, do you choose your own bed or do they normally assign you a bed when you register?

In Saint-Jean the Pilgrim office of the Amis du Chemin de Saint Jacques at 39 rue de la Citadelle is usually open daily from 7h30 to 12h30 and then from 13h30 to 22h.or until the arrival of the last train/bus. Their telephone is 05 59 37 05 09. They can provide you with current path and weather conditions, a Credential and on-site lodging assistance.

Their volunteers help run the municipal albergue at 55 rue de la Citadelle; first access to the municipal albergue is through the Pilgrim office. Beds are assigned on a first come/ first served basis; however you may ask for a lower bunk. Since I am old I always do. If their albergue is full they will help you find other pilgrim lodgings when you are on site. They keep up to the minute lists of all available space throughout the SJPdP area.

After you register and get your stamp at the pilgrims office, if available, they will offer you a bed and walk you up the street to the municipal albergue to show you to your bed.
