Feeling the call again...
to walk the Camino Frances starting from SJJP, around February

- What are the alternative as the Napoleon road is closed until April?

- Is it worthwhile? (meaning nice landscape, not wanting to walk on the side of concrete road most of the time) or should I just not bother and start from Roncevalles or further

- what villages - etapas is the mountain /Pyrenees area covering exactly ?

- Is there anything else I should be aware starting the Camino in winter ?

Thank you very much for any help and info :)

Stay safe, warm and Buen camino !

Thanks a lot , I appreciate your help. Inspiring, but also realistic... Walked the Camino Frances last year from Navarrete in March/April, under rain mostly, and some snow... wondering if same type of shoes (gortex) will be appropriate, esp. for the SJJP to Logrono bit... not even sure there is much of other alternative as not intending to walk in ski shoes (!)

Have a great Sunday
