Sleeping bag?

I read (or thought) about the idea of sleeping here and there in the open (something Ilike to do anyway), near some albergues. Yet, forgot to bring my sleeping bag... :-(

I can probably borrow one from a friend, if it is worth it. Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences about it...

Simon, we met a girl who was carrying a hammock and who often slept outside. She did have a small sleeping bag as well. I think that it would be lovely to sleep outdoors on a warm night but it might be worth your while to buy a sleeping bag.
