My son is a big soccer fan but not really a Camino devotee. I would love to get him a soccer jersey from SD Compostela to combine his love and mine as a souvenir. They are a 3rd/4th level team so it is a little harder to get this jersey than a Real Madrid jersey. Does anyone have any ideas if getting a replica jersey is possible in Santiago.

Thanks.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I am a Camino fanatic!!!! But forget the soccer jersey. What young man wouldn't want a New York Yankees jersey. Especially with the number 2 on the back!!!!!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Welcome to the forum!

You might have luck looking in the different souvenir shops on Rua do Vilar once you get here. However, it might be that you find jerseys from La Coruña Deportivo or Celta de Vigo much more easily. Both of these teams are in Galicia and would be good options as well. Coruña used to be in the top division before they sadly slid down a few years ago. Celta is still in La Liga.

I believe your best bet is to visit the clubs stadium and there should be club shop there selling pretty much everything they have. Naturally you can search this online prior to going there. Good luck.

See post two here.I posted a link to the website of the club where they sell the merchandise. No need at all to go to the stadium.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
No need to go to the stadium for buying the shirt.

But for other reasons it may be interesing to visit the ´Estadio Municipal Verónica Boquete de San Lázaro´, renamed as such in 2018 in homage of Veronica Boquete. (captain of the Spanish national team at their first World Cup appearance in 2015 and captain of the Galician national team)

So - as far as I know, and I pretend to be knowledgable about these matters - Santiago de Compostela is the only city in the world that has a football stadium named after a female footballer !

I forgot! Check out the sports store Caneda when you get to town, just outside of old town Santiago.

In the past they have had jerseys from the Santiago indoor soccer team “Santiago Futsal” and SD Compostela. They’re also a big retailer of the Obradoiro Santiago basketball team. And of course they have jerseys from major teams well.

Do stop in and see what they have. Buen camino!
