I think I posted this elsewhere.. if so, sorry. I've got a bit of brainfog this week due to chemical exposure and can't seem to sort out my thoughts completely.

These are just miscellaneous costs I recorded in my journal the first few days I walked the VDLP. They might give you an idea of the prices of things... this was August 2009. This is in EUROS even though I"m using a $$$

3/15 Ticket from Santiago to Seville $55

Sevilla:
Dinner $10
Dinner $7.50
Breakfast (coffee and roll) $5
Hotel $38.40
Compeed $18 Stocked up.. this is for about 3 packages
Credential $3
Beer and Tapas $6.50
Fan for my granddaughter $3.00
Market $5 (cheese, bread, meat, fruit)
Entrance to Bella Arte Museum $1.50

Italica:
Entrance $1.50
Bus to Italica $1.25

GUILLINA:
Bar Lola $10 for 4 cerveza con limon, w tapas, and some caracolas (snails)
Alburgue was donativo - I left $5

Castiblanco:
Alburgue $5
Lunch Pilgrim Plate $8 (beer, gaspacho, stewed goat, potatoes, wine)
Groceries for tomorrow $6

Casa Forestal
Breakfast $3
No alburgue.. slept outdoors

Almaden:
Lunch $6 jamon cheese beer (Beware of Bar Los Macias! The lady here cheated us and charged us twice!)
Groceries $12 - dinner for two and breakfast/lunch tomorrow
Alburgue $5

El Real de la Jara:
Alburgue $8 No real kitchen, but a microwave and sink.
Groceries $5 (4 eggs, bread, tuna, tomato, cheese, fruit)

Monasterio:
Hostel Extremadura $12 with air conditioning!
Pilgrim's Plate $7.50 (macaroni & cheese, calamari, salad, melon, wine. Very good!)
Breakfast for 2 $4.40 (2 coffee, 2 tostada)

Fuente de Campos
Hotel $38 for a doble! OUCH!
