Souvenirs from Santiago

Hi all,

My husband and I walked from SJPDP to Santiago in 37 days, ending in late May. We were in the group that got floods, snow, rain for a week, etc. so quite an experience! Anyhow, I am finally getting around to putting away all of our hiking gear and realized that I went a little crazy on the souvenirs in Santiago and ended up with a dew extra rosaries. I have and ebay store, so I listed these on ebay along with the guidebooks we didn't use (I bought so many books - we are keeping at least ten) and I thought if anyone on this forum is interested, you could search "One Camino" on ebay to see the stuff I listed.

Aside from our awesome memories and great new friendships, our best souvenir was a beautiful antiqued tile with the cross of St. James that we found on our last day, before heading to the airport. So pretty! Once I am done unpacking, I am going to make a wall display of our compostelas, some pictures, a map and a shadow box with assorted things found along the way as well as our shelves. Will post a picture when it's all done!

Kim

I didn't buy enough souvenirs when I finished my Camino in 2016. A fridge magnet, a little replica way marker to put on my desk, a couple of T shirts (one of which was lost before I left Spain when we went to the Tomatina). When I do my next Camino in a couple of months, I intend to rectify that. :-D

I thought I had bought enough souvenirs, especially the “cheap” bracelets from stalls but on my return, family and friends wanted them so i was left with very few. Does anyone know where I could buy more. I have bought from Etsy and Ivar but they are the expensive ones. Thanks Carol

Convince a friend to go on Camino and have them bring you back a bunch. Or go back yourself and pick up more this time.

Come on, you know you want to. :)

Would love love love to walk again. Can’t see it in the near future tho.

I bought a silver camino shell ring which I love. Also a camino drawstring bag and a few fridge magnets to remind me of this amazing experience. Best of all though were the people I met. Most on first name terms only with no contact details shared. But never to be forgotten.
