Okay, this is an odd request, but can anyone suggest the best way to get a taxi from Roncesvalles to the Biarritz airport? Two of us are hiking the Camino Portugues, but we also want to hike over the Pyrenees--just to say we did! So after finishing in SdC, we're catching a flight to Biarritz, taking a train or taxi to SJPP, spending the night, and then walking to Roncesvalles. We need to catch a flight out of Biarritz, so we need to know how best to get there. Thanks for any assistance!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Dunno if this is the best way, but http://www.expressbourricot.com/ will definitely do it. My guess is they will go into shock from carrying passengers the "wrong" way, but will happily take your money!

a.m.. Taxi from Roncesvailles to St.Jean Pied de Port. Lunchtime train to Bayonne.

We did this one year returning home to France.

In 2012 the taxi cost was approximately €45 shared between two of us.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
CONDA bus from Roncesvalles to SJPdP.

SNCF train from SJPdP to Bayonne.

Chronoplus bus #14 from Gare Bayonne to Airport Anglet.

Or,

Autocares Artieda from Roncesvalles to Pamplona.

ALSA bus from Pamplona to San Sebastian.

PESA or ALSA bus from Donostia/San Sebastian to Airport Biarritz. Or

Renfe Cercanias from San Sebastian to Irun.

Metro from Irun Colon to Hendaia.

Transports64 Euskadi Express #816 from Gare d'Hendaye to Biarritz Airport.

Else you could wait at the taxi rank but you might end up waiting for a while.

Caroline at express bourricot cannot pick up in pain.
I few years ago she told me that the Spanish taxi drivers complained at her doing this. Taken to court and fined heavily.
You can phone and ask her but I am sure that is still the case.
You might need to get a local taxi.

Or walk to the border and meet the taxi there.
