Tell me about hiking from St. Jean de Port to Burgos in 2021 and COVID-19. I am very ignorant about the COVID-19 affect on hiking the Camino. I have had 2 Moderna shots. I live in the USA.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Welcome to the forum. Alan! Under normal circumstances, we would be happy to answer your questions, but the "tell me about hiking... in 2021 and COVID-19" request is a tough one. You might start by reading this post. Then, read the many threads in the Covid section of the forum. The main effect of Covid on hiking the Camino is that most of us cannot get there, so we cannot answer your questions. :(

I am very ignorant ...

Also a welcome from me.

I suggest you consider the advice from the US Embassy in Spain as seen in this link taken a few moments ago.

Also consider, as my national health authorities say, vaccination most probably protects you but does not stop you spreading the virus you may have picked up from others.

Also consider the effect you may have on the people whose areas you pass through who may not yet enjoy the privilege you have been given.

At best 2022 looks to be the year to look forward to. But even that is not gospel.
