Hello all!
Where can I get a stamp for my passport in Lisbon? I have not found a clear answer in the forum yet. I did find the Igreja de Santiago but it was closed.

Thank you!

Hi Ruth,

you can obtain a credencial and a stamp at the "Igreja dos Martires" which you find in the Chiado quarter, close to the "Café A Brasileira" and the statue of Fernando Pessoa.

Or you can try at the Cathedral.

The Santiago church - as far as I can remember from my stay in 2014 - opens for pilgrims only two evenings during the week.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

You can get your Carimbo at the Se de Lisboa or at your place of accommodation.
Bom caminho

Just in case anyone likes filling up their credential with pretty stamps (carimbos/sellos), the Cervejaria Paco Real, in the Baixa (flat part of centro historico) has a very pretty one with a codfish. It's on the Rua da Conceiçao near the crossroads with the Rua da Prata. Easy to find and central. And they have good home made meals, especially pastries. Nothing high end, but very good. It was there I learned that the pastel de nata does not have to be hot to be delicious. Take that, Pasteis de Belem!

And while I'm thinking about that neighborhood, a good pre-caminho place to sleep for those who prefer something other than youth hostels but don't want to spend a lot of money, try the Pensao da Prata. On the Rua da Prata. Family run, clean, a few blocks from the Cathedral, where the first arrow is!
