Start from Ferrol or A Coruña?

I've walked Inglés from Ferrol twice, and am thinking about starting in A Coruña. I LOVED that city the time I was there, and want to return. BUT, the city walking out of AC does not seem so enticing.... Thoughts from those who've done it?

I followed the alternative coast and river route which is in the Brierley guide. It was interesting with beautiful views. It joins the historic route at Cruce near Sigras. The church at Cambre is well worth a detour too. I was going slow so took 3 days over the stretch to Bruma, and loved it.
