Starting Camino Francis Mid August

Time of past OR future Camino
August/Sept (2019)
My wife and I plan on starting Camino Francis in Mid August, haven't made flight reservations yet so don't have exact date, but wondering how the weather will be then and how busy the Camino will be at that time? We plan on flying into Paris, from the US, and thinking about spending a few days in Madrid before flying home. Any thoughts on that? I'm sure we will have many more questions in the near future.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

It will be hot, and the number of pilgrims will be at the maximum. You can reduce the crowd by staying at the smaller villages rather than the guidebook points. Post-pilgrimage tourism often is a let down, but everyone is different.

Buen camino!

Yes, it will be VERY hot especially when you are walking Meseta. I used a hiking umbrella, which gave me on-the-go shade and it was at least 5 degrees (advertisement says 10 degrees) cooler. Also, starting very early in the morning helped. Buen Camino!
