Starting Comino Santiago in Monserrat in early November 2012

can anyone help me with any information on how long the walk takes from Monserrat to Santiago. are all the refugios open all year? Are there many refugios on this route? can you get a comino passport in Barcelona? any other helpful information would be appreciated as we are coming from NZ.

I've never walked the Cami Catalan, but there is a section of the forum with posts that answer some of your questions. Start here: cami-catalan-cami-st-jaume/ and you'll get some good information.

it'd be great to hear from you along the way, these less travelled caminos hold a lot of interest for a small group of confirmed camino nuts like myself. This route is definitely on my list, but I'm hoping to start from the monastery at San Pere de Rodas, one of the countries most incredible churches, in a country with an abundance of incredible churches, IMO.
