Hola fellow peregrinos,
I’m currently in Barcelona enjoying a few days with my grandkids and daughter-in-law, before heading to Irun by train early Friday. I’m hoping to find room at the Albergue de Peregrinos de Irún, Lesaca Kalea, 1, 20301 Irún on Friday pm and head out on the El Norte Saturday, June 22nd walking all the way to Finesterre. Just wondering if anyone else on the forum plans to start on Saturday from Irun.
Buen Camino!

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Buen Camino! We just finished the Norte yesterday with our arrival in Santiago. It's a tough and rough Camino, however, persevere and be proud when you finish. The weather is wet now so walking to Muxia then Finisterre is not appealing. Bus looks good for that adventure. Enjoy your Camino Norte.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Music Man,
You will love your trek on the Norte and beyond! It is very special and unique. Maybe the rain in Muxia and Finesterre will let up by the time you'd be getting there. Rain is not particularly fun to walk in, but some of my most vivid memories have to do with persevering through the challenge of walking in a storm on the Meseta!

Last May I walked the first part of the Norte in the opposite direction, from Santander to Irun. Since I only had two weeks and couldn't reach Santiago anyway, I wanted to swim against the tide...
Tomorrow I fly to Bilbao to start my 5th stint on the Camino. I did the Frances in three parts (2016, 2017 and 2022). Last year I did the Portuguese from Porto. I did the first 200 km of the...
I thought I had this all figured out, but I have ended up with 2 train tickets from San Sebastian (I don't even know if it's the airport or the town) to Irun, instead of ONE that goes all the way...
