Hi I am travelling to Najera to continue my walk from where i stopped last year. Looking to get bus from Bilbao to logrono then to Najera. Any advice on where to stay for the first night, or where to avoid?
Thanks

Hi Woody!

If you're after a hostal rather than an albergue the Hispano is fine. As far as I remember the people there were really friendly as well. The accommodation is in a separate building from the bar.

EDIT: I just found in my notes that it was 33 Euros last spring. Sorry, I forgot to mention cost.

Buen Camino!

Back in 2008, we started in Nájera, where we had stopped the year before. We arrived with a late bus from Logroño (after having travelled directly from Costa Rica that same day). We took one peep into the Albergue (It was already about 9.30 p.m.) and decided NO! On the other side of the river, we noticed Hispano II and got room in their Pension. As Tyrrek mentions, the Pension is in a different building to the Bar. We had a late dinner in their restaurant, had a good night's sleep and after breakfast in their Bar, were on our way the next morning before 10 o'clock. Anne

I will try the Hispano
It is Hispano II , so I suppose that there must be a Hispano I ?
It's located at about 200 mtrs. from the bus terminal. The restaurant is very popular to locals. Excellent breakfast!
