Hi everyone,

I'm starting the Camino Primitivo by myself on March 27th, 2018... flying from Dublin so will get a stamp in St. James's Gate on the way. Does that make it the Camino Irlandes?

It's 15 years since I did the Portuguese route with a friend; a 9kg bag in August heat compensated for our minimum distance!! So in a way I feel like a newbie. But I'll take the same 35L Lowe Alpine bag, for the sake of nostalgia.

This time I'm happier about the cooler temperatures and will enjoy a pilgrimmy atmosphere over the Easter weekend.

I'm grateful for this forum, it's full of great advice and also sounds like quite a lot of fun.

Hi Orlagh
You'll love the Camino Primitivo. I hope you find a happy group along the way.
Good to hear someone else is getting a stamp from St. James Gate in Dublin. I was visiting friends in Dublin last year and took the opportunity to get mine stamped there too.
Buen Camino

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
