Starting from Valença

Hello. I am getting the train to Valenca from Lisbon on Monday 16th Sept around 8pm. Due to time constraints, I'm starting the camino from Valenca. Does anyone know if I can stay in the albergue there as a peregrino? Or would I be better off looking at alternative accommodation?

They will let you stay. They are accustomed to having pilgrims start there.

If you have a credencial they will let you stay. Every pilgrimage has to start somewhere...
