Starting in Alto do Poio

Hi!
We are starting our camino trek next week and are scheduled to meet up in Alto do Poio with other pilgrims who started before us. We are having trouble trying to figure out how to get from Santiago to Alto do Poio. Any suggestions?

There are ALSA buses from Santiago to Piedrafita (Cebreiro) - take 3hrs 20mins.
From there you would have a 10 - 12km walk to Alto de Poio.

Or you could get to Tricastela and walk 3km back to Alto de Poio.

Thanks! Do you know if there is a bus that goes to Triacatela, or a taxi service from Piedrafita (Cebreiro)?

There is a taxi in Piedrafita. The tienda will call. She normally shuttles between Piedrafita and Cebreiro, but I am sure she is flexible.
