For anyone thinking of joining the Arles Route in Lourdes there is now a Pilgrims Office provided by the local Amigos Association. They have maps, Credencials and accommodation. The office is run by Daniel a volunteer and Camino veteran.

He gives pilgrims a warm and kind welcome, indeed.
The bureau is easy to find -it is in a roundabout, in the main road to the sanctuary, at the beginning of the string of tourist shops.

Can you tell me is it possible to walk from St Jean to Lourdes? I'm looking for a guide book and links.

My mother and I are hoping to start walking on Monday 10th April and arrive in Lourdes on Easter Sunday. All help and advice greatly received.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Lots of info. in this forum. Search using "Piemont"

It's a wonderful, quirky route.

The Pilgrims Office there has existed since at least 2014, but it is certainly lovely to hear that they now have their own premises.

Thank you for the replies.

Bshea, your first link didn't seem to work for me.

Donal, I may ask you about this the next time I see you!

Here's the link to the godesalco site. Click on the Piemont tab at the bottom. Scroll all the way down to click on Lourdes on the left, then down to St Jean on the right at the bottom of the page. Hope it works this time.

This is a general question for my curiosity. It probably should be posted in “Equipment etc” but would probably get a lot of Spain replies. I’m not bringing my emergency beacon but I did read on...
