Time of past OR future Camino
I am walking in March and April of 2019.
My girlfriend and i are starting in st jean middle of november, walking to santiago. Hoping enough albergues will still be open during our wintery walk!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Buen Camino!

This site keeps an updated list of albergues open in the winter.
It's always a good idea to phone them the day before to make sure they are open.

If you'd like to see who else is starting around the same time, and add your name to the list of those starting in November click here.

Lisakline,
In earlier happier times I often walked the Camino Frances in late autumn/winter. Of course the weather is never the same but the basic route has not changed. Difficult CF stretches after storms might be; the Valcarlos route up to Roncesvalles (the Napoleon route is closed from November to April), across the Montes de Oca from Villafranca, Najera to Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Monte Irago and, of course, to and from O Cebreiro.

For any winter camino I stress this bit of info re: carrying food supplies.
Wherever you walk in winter
you must be prepared!

Happy planning and Buen camino!

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
