Good Evening,

Due to an unforeseen family illness, I had to postpone my Camino this spring, but I am looking to reschedule for late December/early January. Any thoughts or tips for a winter Camino Portugues would be appreciated.

Best,

Scott

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Will be following this, Scott, as I might need to walk in winter too.

I'm following this too as I'm thinking of a Christmas Camino.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Hi, it depends on what type of accommodation you intend staying at, but really budget places do not turn the heating on in winter. They provide blankets but they are often the very old fashioned dark heavy scratchy kind, and provide little warmth, just a heavy weight on top of you. So take a good sleeping bag! Prepare for some days of very wet weather, as well as the cold. Some paths can get very muddy after a lot of rain.
Bom caminho!

Thank you, I have some flexibility with my budget and I will definitely research the accommodations prior to departure.
