Starting Second Camino Frances from SJPP on May 13

Frances 2017, Frances 2018. Frances 2022
My wife and I finished our first Camino Frances last summer. I hated for it to end. It took me almost 3 weeks to adjust and knew I needed to do this at least one more time. My wife said she was glad we accomplished it together but for her, never again. But that decision changed over the next few months after she thought about our many experiences together and the welcoming people we met along the way.

We leave May 13 from St. Jean for our second Camino, about 3 weeks earlier than our start last year. Like last year, we hope to post daily to our blog. I'm sure our experiences (we are in our mid-60's) will be different than many others and some the same. If you care to positively share the moments with us, you are welcome to follow along: 2018micaminotucamino.blogspot.com.

Miki Goldie got it right. Plan a bit and don't stop in the same places, don't stay in the same albergues, don't eat in the same restaurants but DO be daring and go off Camino for any of the many many places which should also be enjoyed The Church of Saint Mary of Eunate, Haro, the Monastery of Santa María in Cañas, Santo Domingo de Silos Abbey a bus ride from Burgos, if you have done Samos then take the other fork also very beautiful, Vilar de Donas, Muxia in place of Finestera all easily come to mind. Intellectually and spiritually you know what to expect, allow the senses to expand! Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
