The archdioces website - http://www.archicompostela.org/web/index_.htm - has up-dated the pilgrim stats up to the end of August 2007 but only on the Spanish link. I'm not sure if the stats have been reported on the Forum but as of the end of September, just over 100 000 compostela certificates had been issued by the pilgrim's office. (I was not included in this stat as I decided to ask for the alternate document this time as I really cannot profess to having walked the camino for religious reasons.)
For the pilgrim from Romania who will be walking soon, 45 Romanian pilgrims received the Compostela last year.
