Staying at an albergue before starting the Camino??

My husband and I will arrive in Santiago 1 March. We plan to spend the night there, drop off a suitcase with Ivar, take the bus to Ferrol and start the Camino Inglés 3 March.

We already have our credenciales.

Can we stay at an albergue in Santiago if we have not yet started our Camino? Is it a problem if we have the credencial stamped first in Santiago if we are walking from Ferrol?

Also, if anyone has experience walking the Inglés in March I would be happy to learn from you.

Many of the Albergues in Santiago will welcome you. Especially those run as private businesses rather than the parochial or municipal establishments. You will have no problem finding a bed. Enjoy the Ingles, it is a lovely route.

Thank you! I am looking forward to the Inglés, though I am a little concerned about the weather at that time. I did the Francés in May and everything was perfect.

We have always stamped our credenciales from home and on the stages of our journey. Then we make sure that we have that first important Camino stamp, especially for Ferrol
