Strings

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances, The Jakobsweg
Gathered tall
Cathedral spectre calls
Mind has gone to be lost in time

Started a poem? then of a sudden...
Santiago pulled the heartstrings
Hard.

Missing a place ive never been
Missing a brother and sisterhood that has never been
Missing a walk
Missing a talk

Its like a voice
A song
Remnant of the waking dream

Straining my ears to make out the words
Hoping i dont miss any
Yet my head turns towards
Santiago.

Who knew that strings could stretch so far
Be loose
Then taught again

I am not envious of those who have gone before
I am gratefull for the steps onward before me

I pray i will get there before summers ends
With the grey hair and legs that dont bend

Before winters icy wings
Bring chill and pain, worry and ache

Before the limbs grow brittle and roots grown cold
Turn shriveled and little

Before summers sun ceases to warm
Before I...
Cannot weather the storms

Before courage that fails
And life becomes tales
Told among old men

Will the strings
Will the strings still be pulled then.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
be pulled, yes it is
but not sure whether detangle still one piece
nevertheless, though it might not seems as we wish
the string of life never cease until last breath.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

When that moment comes, it will be ok.

Sniff sniff
Wet eyes

There seems to be a Camino size hole in my heart.

I would say shape
But that is too small a measure

To live life is to take in your full measure
To drink your full measure and hold your cup out for more
Gratefully

And for some
Hopefully

For some unfortunates
Regretfully

But all ask the for the same...

Fully.

Life is simple...really

Take it all

What meal has no leftovers
What drink has no dregs
What life has no regrets

Come now Peregrino
Off you Go!
