Suggestions for place to stay in Irun/San Sebastian

I'll be arriving in Biarritz around 6 pm on May 23, which means it is likely the albergue will be full by then. It seems wise to book a pension or room somewhere, but I am not sure in relation to where the bus is going to let me off where best to do so. Does anyone have some suggestions? Additionally, I would be grateful for suggestions in San Sebastian.

A Room with a View in San Sebastián was nice and well located near the old town .

There are two youth hostels in S.S. I've stayed in the one on the way out out of town but close enough to La Cancha. It was fine and hope to stay there on May 22nd.
