If you walk into Santiago on the Sanabres you pass by the Pico Sacro on the way. Big dramatic looking hill. I wasn't feeling keen enough that day to walk up though

Yes, it's a lovely place with a real vibe to it. Trouble with the sunset viewing is you then have to get back down in the dark!

As my old bones will attest. I have been asked by other pilgrims to walk up hills on many caminos as a detour to see a castle or a church or some ruins of some kind. Come on the view is great! For me the view is even better exactly where I am and I don't have to shlep up an extra hill!! The pictures look nice though.
