Time of past OR future Camino
Starting in few days~~
Hiya
I am starting Camino next week. And I was wondering. I will arrive in Santiago de Compostela and I will stay two nights there. Can I stay in same hostel or do I need to change them, because what i have read they don't allow to stay for more than one night because of the new travelers.
And if i do change hostels they will need my camino passport as proof, but what if I will already will have been finished camino and gotten my compostela, will they allow me to stay there?

I can't speak with great authority here, but I've never heard of this being a problem in Santiago. The rules about staying only 1 night do not apply to private hostels anywhere, which I'd think are most of the accommodations in Santiago. So, when you arrive or book the place, just confirm that you would like to stay 2 nights.

It shouldn't be a problem. As @C clearly said, it's the municipal albergues that have the one night rule. I stayed in a hostel in León for 2 nights.
Also note that there is a difference between hostels, and albergues, which are just for pilgrims, and require you to show your credential.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Hola Daniela and welcome to the forum.

It's not a problem at all in Santiago if you want to stay in a place for more than one night. There's only one municipal hostel here - the Residencia de Peregrinos San Lázaro - and even they allow pilgrims to stay for a maximum of three nights. The ones closer to the city center may not even have a maximum stay.

Things are getting busy in Santiago (many of the albergues were full this past weekend), so if you have a chance I'd recommend that you even book something now for your two nights here. That way you don't have to worry about finding a place when you walk in, tired and wanting to do other things than walk from hostel to hostel to see if they have space :).

Buen Camino!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
All the best with your Camino Daniela. Try not to worry too much .... but if you have any concerns en route, just ask any of your fellow pilgrims. Everyone is helpful and willing to lend advice .... as we're all travelling the same road. Buen Camino .... enjoy your journey! :)
