It's been a few months but I have to tell you guys about how fantastic the Taberna de Ages was to me. I stayed there back in January after a grueling mountain pass in the snow. The lodging was nice - I had a hot shower, a delicious dinner, and a good night's sleep. The next morning I had a great cafe con leche and set out for Burgos. When I got to Cardanuela Riopico for "brunch" I received a WhatsApp from La Taberna de Ages, "Hola, you left your passport in Ages".

Long story short, they drove my passport to Burgos and it was waiting for me when I got there. Talk about Camino magic! So I am late in sharing this, but they are on my list of super awesome people!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I stayed there last September and was well treated on a busy Saturday night. A great meal. The locals were out in force, filled the bar and seemed to have a singing contest. Great family atmosphere.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I had a really great time in Ages in 2011. And not in the same place but that's not important. I like the village and the energy there.
What I want to say is that the thing they did is/should be the norm. And look where we are... We are amazed by someone do this and is called Camino angel or some Camino magic is has happened. Not really. What's so special and angelic about that? That's just a normal thinking and feeling and reacting of human being with just a little bit of sense of empathy. That's it. It's so simple. We should all be like this. I know I am. And although I can financially hardly survive I'm a happy soul.

Thank you for listening :)

I stayed in Ages in 2015. I wanted to live there! And the Taberna made me the best dinner. Thank you for prompting a great memory!!!
