We managed to ride or walk our tandem from Ponferrada to Santiago last September. Even with 26x1.25 tires, it's a little bit limiting, even more so than for a mountain bike, because of some of the road surfaces.
That said, I can't wait to take the tandem out on the CP from Porto to Santiago, and would appreciate any suggestions about routes and road surfaces. It's unavoidable to have to leave the actual Camino from time to time for roads with friendlier surfaces!
