Tarifa to Sevilla, a VdlP prelude?

Has anyone done Tarifa to Sevilla? I would greatly appreciate any information or advice on this. I would like to start my VdlP in Tarifa
Alternatively, if I start in late September a north to south route seems like a good idea. Anyone done that?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
No but I have done Vejer to Seville by bike and my family has a house near there. I do not know of many walking routes but the countryside can be great: hills, mountains or flat plains depending on the route you take. A walk from Zahara or Barbate would be easier to visualise for me.

I met a veteran Dutch guy called Dirk who had walked VDLP from Tarifa this summer. He didn't speak a word of Spanish so it must be logistically fairly straightforward.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Last year I walked from Tárifa to La Línea (Gibraltar) and then on the Vía Serrana to join the VdlP at Seville. It was extremely lovely, although quite hard work in places - ~200m of ascent in 1km up (and down) the Cañon de las Buitreras, near Jimena de la Frontera, for example. Arriving in Ronda on foot was very special (and arriving that way in Seville, of course). I'd say it was a perfect prelude to the VdlP, or a perfect little winter camino in its own right.

You can go left from Tárifa and get to Seville by Cádiz, but it sounds very flat.

Alan, is the way well marked from Tarifa to Seville? I visited Ronda, Grazalema, and Zahara de la Sierra a couple years ago and I really am excited to walk that part of Spain. Would pulling a single wheeled walking trailer behind me be a practical option? I am considering using a monowalker trailer.
On another note, have you walked the Pembrookeshire coastal trail?
