Hi,

I'm planning on finishing a leg of the Camino at El Burgo Romero or Calzadilla de los Hermanillos and will need to get from one of these to Sahagun to catch a train to Madrid.

Can anyone recommend a good form of transport from either to Sahagun - taxi, bus?

Thank you.

Nicola

The distance El Burgo Ranero-Sahagun is under 20 Kms so your chances to find suitable and frequent transportation options are good. A taxi should be about 25 Euros, an ALSA bus is 2 Euros leaves El Burgo Ranero at about 6:45pm (15 minutes ride to Sahagun) so you have a good chance to catch the bus. The train is about 2 Euros also and leaves around close to 4 pm and another one at 8pm.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
The bus is three days a week, so you will need to be lucky to take it!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
