I was having the rain poncho discussion with myself, will I, won't I? - So very happy to hear it will be sunny and fine - hope it keeps fine for weeks 2 & 3!

Don't be mistaken :!: Galicia can be quite wet at times, so a poncho should be part of your equipment. Last year (2011) we walked from Roncesvalles (early September) to Santiago (middle of October) without a single drop of rain. On previous walks during a similar period we weren't so lucky

Fraluchi, I live in Ireland, and we have had the wettest summer for years :( Hence my joy at the prospect of a chance to dry out my bones! I will be walking Burgos - Leon, so would be interested to hear how travelling on the Meseta went for you.
