Hi, Earther,

I'm not easily cold but even in the summer I carry 250g sleeping bag (bought for 9,95€). If you plan to sleep in private accommodation I wouldn't bring such heavy sleeping bag as yours, maybe just a liner?

Buen Camino!

Well, all I can tell you is that I start a couple of weeks behind you, and I’m taking mine. This will be my fifth Camino - in the last four, I’ve taken my sleeping bag for three of them, and needed it about as many nights as I didn’t. Thst’s a fair few nights I would have been chilly without it...

I took my 2.1 lbs. (935g) sleeping bag when I walked the Camino Frances in Sept and Oct of 2015. I’m glad I did. I don’t sleep cold, but I liked having a known quantity to snuggle down into each night. It took some of the strangeness out of sleeping in a different bed each night. I know I slept better as a result. I’ll bring the same sleeping bag when I walk the CF again this coming Feb and Mar. Of course, then I’ll likely need it for warmth as well as the comfort factor.
