Roncesvalles is a starting point for many pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. Once they have registered at the pilgrims' office and obtained their "credencial" (pilgrims' passport), they can stay at the albergue (or alternative accommodation) from where to start their pilgrimage the next day.papa and memie said:...ARE WE ALLOWED TO STAY AT THE COLLEGIATE CHURCH EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN'T WALK THAT DAY?....
I'll be staying the night of the 31st at the Collegiate Church. I'll have a forum badge on my pack.mauveglass said:that night at the Collegiate Church, then start the camino on the 1st.
From what I remember La Posada is nice and has character, so you've made a good choice. Buen Camino!mauveglass said:I am getting into Roncesvalles on the night of Aug 30th and am staying at La Posada hotel. I plan to spend the next day there and stay that night at the Collegiate Church, then start the camino on the 1st. I did make reservations at La Posada.
